Re: Ready to begin hoimebrewing but where to start
Tue, July 7, 2009 - 6:17 PMThe Joy of Homebrewing is a really great beginners book without all the big brewing words and easy to follow ~ Also hitting up any local homebrew stores is a great idea too for other books and info about brewing ~ if you have questions you can always ask me too if you would like ~ I brew for a living :) also would like to know what "beginning brewing equipment" you got from your friend ~ makes a big difference :) Jen

Re: Ready to begin hoimebrewing but where to start
Wed, July 8, 2009 - 2:16 PMCongratulations on your new found hobby!
Here is an online reference which is among one of the finer books on homebrewing:
How To Brew by John Palmer www.howtobrew.com/
Papazian's books cited by Jen below are also a good read.
Seems some of his info is a bit dated (OTOH, he was one of the first to bring homebrewing to the masses).
Also check out these forums for some decent info: www.brewingkb.com/homebrewing/
