What graced your table for the Christmas celebration?
We started out the day with a taste of Marin's Hoppy Holidaze. Next up was Affligem Noel, followed by a bottle of Corsendonk Christmas Ale.
After that we popped in the 1951 Allistair Sim "Christmas Carol" DVD and popped open the Gulden Draak Vintage Ale, then finished off the evening with the St. Bernardus Christmas Ale and "It's a Wonderful Life".
Filled in a few of the lulls and gaps with an occasional Sierra Nevada Celebration, Lost Coast Winterbraun, or Anchor Xmas Brew.
Of course one of the best things about holidays is the left-overs, so we've got a nice 750 of St. Feuillien Cuvee de Noel, a sixer of Rogue Santa's Private Reserve, and a couple of Sierra Nevada Harvest Fresh Hops to help ease us on into the new year.
So, what did you drink on the big day???

Fri, December 28, 2007 - 10:53 PMI know this is the beer tribe - so forgive me...
We started with Haagen Lager (on special). It is a cheep and nice crisp beer :)
We had some Moet Chandon (cant remember which one.. I like the Imperial Nectar - if you can get it)
Had a Victoria Bitter (very popular here)
Had a large 1.5 litre bottle of Grolsch - but no one would drink it with me so it did not get opened.
Had some Delwhinnie 15 yo SMW - nice !
We finished with a few more beers and a couple of reds (nothing notable but nice) and lastly with some Penfolds Grand Father Port- not the stuff off the shelf but one of the Premium ones Penfolds puts out - very nice !

Nothing special at all, forced by the curse of the empty wallet.
Liberty Ale, Sierra Nevada, Arrogant Bastard and Samuel Adams Winter Lager

Sat, December 29, 2007 - 12:21 PMthats a hell of a lineup - Christmas in belgium!
I had a Cuvee de Noel last chrismas and loved it, but this year i spent chrismas night in a dive bar drinking whiskey. ugh....
I was (still am) keeping my reserves of good beer till next weeknd when i meet my girlfriend at the train station. I'm sitting on a Moinette Brune, a Dupont Avec les Bons Voeux, a Gouden Carolus D'Or "Grand Dru of the Emperor" and a Unibrou Seigneuriale (one of the few Unibrou beers I havn't had yet) -
