Help support my local 7-11

If you're not in Los Angeles, this probably doesn't concern you. In any case, here we go...

So I get my beer at 7-11. "7-11? And this guy's posting on the beer snobs tribe?" Yes, this guy is posting about a 7-11 on the beer snobs tribe. A 7-11 at which, in the last 16 months or so, I've had over 150 high quality beers. Chimay, Unibroue, Corsendonk, Delirium, etc.

Anyways, it's in Highland Park. Ave 52 and Figueroa. Just west of the 110. Everything he's got is a 90%+ rating, most of it 97% or higher. Well, not everything. they've got Corona and Heineken and what not, but I don't look in those coolers.

Alright, well that's about it. If you're in the area, check it out. And try not to think of it as a 7-11.

Thanks a million for the post!
I drive past this 7-11 a couple times a week and, barring a critical emergency, I'd never even think of stopping there for anything, let alone REAL BEER!!
Not exactly the part of town where you'd expect to find good beer at all...
and to top it all off, in a 7-11!!!

      So what gives??
      Is it The Rapture?
      Armageddon?
      A worm hole?

That's exactly what I thought when it all started with all three Chimays displayed on the counter. Went in for a pack of smokes like I always do, and there they were. Good beer in a 7-11. Turns out the guy who owns the store is a fellow beer snob. And it's more than just beer. Guy turned the whole store around. Lights all around the store at night, private security, clean parking lot frequently repainted. Not to mention the great wine selection, mixed nuts, candy bars, etc... It's the cleanest, most well kept 7-11 I've ever seen.

Anyways, owner's name is Charles and he's there almost every day until around 5. Has a real hand in the place. Cares about his customers and everything. So yeah, check it out. If you see an average height white guy with short black hair, usually black jacket and sunglasses on his head, that's him. Real nice guy. Great for talkin beer with.

But anyways, the writers and the studios are back in action, which means I am off. Gotta make the money necessary to have such high standards in beer...
